Product & Feature
How to Inflate the Air Suspension Fork Plus

You will need a suspension-specific air pump.

  • Locate the valve labeled "AIR" on the brake-side fork leg.
  • Remove the valve cap and attach the pump.
  • Inflate the fork according to your body weight. A recommended pressure chart is printed on the fork sticker.
  • If the sticker is missing, refer to the user manual, where we list the recommended front fork air pressure values for different rider weight ranges.
How to Adjust the Damping (Rebound Knob) Plus

The rebound knob controls how quickly the fork returns after compression.
"+" = Harder / More stable / Slower rebound
"−" = Softer / More comfortable / Faster rebound

When to Adjust:Smooth roads / City commuting → Turn "−" for a softer, more comfortable ride.
Rough roads / Gravel / Trails → Turn "−" for better comfort and control.
High-speed riding / Downhill / Heavy loads → Turn "+" for a firmer, more controlled ride.

What if the suspension seatpost is too high for me? Plus

Due to the suspension structure, some shorter riders may find the saddle height too high. You may contact Velotric Customer Support — we can provide astandard (non-suspension) seatpost free of charge.

When should I use torque sensor mode vs cadence sensor mode? Plus

The torque sensor offers more intuitive and efficient assistance for riders who alternate between high and low speeds.
It provides smoother and more natural power delivery, especially when riding on uneven or rough terrain.
The cadence sensor delivers a lighter riding experience and is better suited for long-distance, higher-speed riding.
Riders can explore different usage scenarios based on their own riding environment and preferences.

What is Custom Mode? Plus

Custom Mode is an optional advanced speed setting available on Summit 2. When enabled through the Velotric App, it allows riders—where permitted by applicable local regulations—to unlock the throttle in Class 3 and reach speeds up to 45 km/h. Riders can still switch between Class 1 / 2 / 3 / Custom Mode anytime on the display. Features and permitted speeds depend on applicable provincial, territorial, and municipal laws. Riders are responsible for complying with local regulations.

How to Enable Custom Mode in the Velotric App? Plus
  1. Connect your bike to the Velotric App
  2. Allow location permissions
  3. Go to Bike Settings → Custom Mode
  4. Follow the in-app instructions

To learn how to use Custom Mode, please refer to the
Velotric system introduction video (Chapter 3.1)

What is the seatpost specification? How do I choose a suspension or dropper seatpost? Plus

The Summit 2 uses a 31.6 mm diameter, 350 mm length seatpost.
Suspension seatpost: Choose a 31.6 mm suspension seatpost, such as the one from Velotric or any compatible third-party option.

  • Dropper seatpost: Choose a 31.6 mm dropper seatpost. The S2 frame has a pre-reserved internal cable routing port, allowing clean internal routing.
How to Use the Pulse Mode on Summit 2? Plus

Pulse Mode is a new feature developed for fitness enthusiasts. It adjusts the power output based on the user’s cycling status to help them reach their target heart rate zone.
How to Connect:

  • Use the included heart rate strap to connect to the display.
  • Alternatively, you can connect your compatible smartwatch*.

*Currently supported smartwatches include Garmin, and other smartwatches with heart rate broadcasting functionality.

Are Summit 2 and Summit 1 batteries interchangeable? Plus

Yes, they are interchangeable. However, due to the Summit 2 battery’s higher capacity, you must update all firmware on the bike to the latest version before cross-using them. This ensures safety and compatibility. (After pairing with the Velotric App, go to Bike Settings > Firmware Update to complete all firmware upgrades.)
